Weekend Report - 7th September 2010
6th September 2010

As the pros took a break with a busy weekend of internationals, the 2MB International Soccer Management scholars were in full flow as they travelled as far as Cardiff for their respected teams.

After a recent run of poor results, Barnet's U'18's took on Luton in what they hope will be the turning point in their season. A 4-1 win meant the recent leaky defense held strong, and some great intricate attacking play lead by 2MB ISM's tricky winger Mauro Vilhete lead to four well-worked goals.

Joe Carter and Charlton's U18's travelled to Cardiff in a game where, had they taken their chances, a 1-1 draw could have been another win for what is proving to be a talented Charlton team. The dynamic left-back was honest in his assessment of the teams efforts;

"We played some good and tidy football, but didn't take our chances. This weekend we play Spurs at home and hopefully, we'll change that as you can guarantee they will be a good side."

Finally, West Ham's Sam Cowler was on the losing side as they were beaten 2-0 by a strong Birmingham team. Two early goals left the young Hammers with an uphill battle in the second half, and some astute defending from the Blues defense lead them to a clean sheet.

With Miles Smith having the weekend off with Wycombe, 2MB ISM hope to have up to 5 scholars competing again in this weekends matches.
