IRL: Off to a Good Start for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing at Barber Motorsports Park, Birmingham AL
24th February 2010

Dreyer & Reinbold Racing was eager to get backto racing and prove how hard they had worked in the off-season.  DRR hitthe pavement at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama today, markingthe second time that both of the team's drivers, Justin Wilson (No. 22 Z-LineDesigns) and Mike Conway (No. 24 Dad's Root Beer), have tested at the 2.3 mileroad course.

Newest addition to the team, Justin Wilson, pilotof the No. 22 Z-Line Designs car, quickly gelled with his crew and engineer. As a result he ended the final session with the third quickest time of1:10.7397.  Unfortunately, his day was ended a bit prematurely as hebrushed the wall coming out of turn one. Luckily, the car wasn't badly damagedand the Englishman will be back out on track tomorrow.

It was a bittersweet day for Mike Conway as well.  The 26-year old wasable to log in a number of laps and get some valuable track time to tuck behindhis belt.  Unfortunately, he struggled to find the right balance on thecar and he rounded out the day with the 17th fastest time of 1:12.1543.

Dreyer & Reinbold Racing will be back on track tomorrow morning for day twoof testing.  For more information on the team please visitwww.dreyerreinboldracing.com.

What they had to say....

Dennis Reinbold, Dreyer & ReinboldRacing Co-Owner:  "This was kind of a good and bad test for us so far.  We ended up struggling a little bit with the No. 24 car and withthe No. 22 car we made some pretty good gains and ended in third position forthe day.    We are pretty happy about that.  We have alittle bit of work to do with Mike's car, but we will sort that out tonight andcome out tomorrow and see what we have in terms of finding some speed.  Wehave a direction that we will go in and we are pretty confident that it's goingto help."

Justin Wilson, No. 22Z-Line Designs:  "The first day in the carwas really good.  It was a pretty positive day and we kept makingimprovements. All in all I thinkthat it went well and I'm pleased with P3.  I'm getting comfortable in thecar and with my new engineer and crew. I'm looking forward to tomorrow.Unfortunately, at the end of the day I just clipped the grass going into turnone and the car snapped around on me. The car isn't too badly damaged and I'mokay."

Mike Conway, No. 24 Dad's Root Beer: "Today was a tough day and we were just trying to get a good balancewith the car, but struggled a little bit.  Tomorrow we are just going tokeep up the hard work and try and get through all of the test items. Luckily, we were able to get some laps in and hopefully we can do thesame tomorrow."
